How It Works
Capture
Cameras (fixed or portal-mounted) record wagon sides and container faces as trains pass. A short pilot to adjust mounting height and shutter speed reduces false reads significantly.
Pre-processing
Image enhancement (de-noise, WDR/HDR, perspective correction) prepares frames for OCR, handling motion blur and reflective surfaces.
OCR & Validation
Advanced OCR models (CNN/LSTM hybrids) detect UIC/container numbers, apply checksum validation, and normalize formats - reducing false positives by a large margin.
Indexing & Search
Recognized entries are indexed with timestamp, camera ID, and track/zone metadata. Operators can search easily and generate exportable reports.
