Port/Logistics
Port/Logistics is a comprehensive AI-powered checkpoint solution that links license plate recognition, trailer identification, and container scanning into a single unified transit record. From port gates to inland logistics hubs, this module delivers complete cargo visibility, reduces manual data entry, and accelerates throughput for terminals, depots, and distribution centers.

Key Advantages
Unified transit records — automatically merge truck, trailer, and container data captured from multiple camera positions into one event log per vehicle pass
Scalable architecture — flexible deployment from single-gate terminals to multi-lane, multi-site port complexes and nationwide logistics networks
Cloud & edge analytics — choose local GPU inference for sub-second latency or cloud processing for long-term reporting and trend analysis
Seamless VMS integration — deploys as a native plugin alongside existing Milestone, Genetec, Nx Witness, Avigilon, or VMS Vezha installations
Actionable reports — export complete checkpoint event logs with captured images as PDF or CSV, or push records to your WMS/TOS via REST API
All-weather reliability — consistent recognition performance across day/night conditions, rain, fog, dusty environments, and varying vehicle speeds
How It Works
Vehicle Detection
Entrance and exit cameras capture the vehicle license plate, color, make, model, type and country of registration as it approaches the checkpoint.
Container Scanning
Up to five dedicated cameras capture container numbers and ISO codes from all sides of the cargo as the vehicle passes through.
Data Consolidation
The Port/Logistics plugin merges all data from the LPR and UIC & Container modules into a single unified event record per vehicle.
Report Export
Generate detailed PDF or CSV reports for each event, optionally including captured images of license plates and vehicle frames.
Works With Your Existing Stack
Deploy alongside your current cameras, hardware, and VMS - no forklift upgrade required.
IP Cameras
Any ONVIF / RTSP stream
VMS Platforms
Native plugin & SDK support
Edge Hardware
GPU-accelerated inference
What is a modern Port Logistics Recognition System?
A port and logistics recognition system combines computer vision, AI-driven neural networks, and a data consolidation layer to transform raw camera streams at checkpoints into structured, searchable transit records — including license plates, trailer identifiers, container numbers, ISO codes, vehicle classifications, and timestamps.
In short: cameras → AI recognition → unified event record → WMS / dashboard / export.
- LPR (License Plate Recognition) detects and reads vehicle plates at speed, even under adverse lighting, angle, or weather conditions.
- Container number recognition reads BIC/ISO 6346 codes from container sides and doors using dedicated cameras covering up to five viewing angles.
- Data fusion links all detections from a single vehicle pass into one record, eliminating manual cross-referencing between systems.
After putting it to the test across multiple deployment environments, our team found that AI-based systems with multi-camera event consolidation reduce gate processing time by significantly more than single-camera LPR solutions, particularly when trailer and container data must also be captured.
Directions
Seaports & Container Terminals
Automate gate-in / gate-out processing for trucks entering or leaving the terminal.
Inland Container Depots (ICDs)
Track container movements between rail, road, and storage areas.
Logistics & Distribution Hubs
Monitor inbound and outbound freight at loading dock entrances.
Customs & Border Checkpoints
Support customs officers with a complete, time-stamped record of every vehicle, trailer, and container that crosses the gate.
Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities
Control raw material intake and finished goods dispatch.
Rail Terminals & Intermodal Yards
Identify container numbers on trucks arriving for rail loading.
